Eco Express Car Wash FAQ

Have a car wash-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give Eco Express Car Wash a call today for more information!

  • What should I expect when I arrive?

You’ll be greeted by friendly, professional people who will guide you through the simple process. All you need to do is put your vehicle in neutral when asked, keep your foot off the brake and hands off the steering wheel, and relax! We’ll do the rest.

We clean the vehicle exterior with gentle touch washers and mild cleaning solutions. Your wheels and whitewalls will be cleaned, and your vehicle will be rinsed and gently dried with our high-powered air-drying system and buff-n-dry process (on certain packages) – all automatically, in three minutes or less!

  • Should I remain in my vehicle?

Yes. For safety reasons, there must be a driver at the wheel. We’ll be with you throughout the entire process and available to answer any questions you may have.

  • Do you hand-dry my vehicle?

We have high-horsepower air dryers and a buff-n-dry process (with certain packages) at the end of our wash process that dries your vehicle – without having to touch your car. You won’t need to hand-dry your vehicle. Although if you want to bring along your own towel and give it a final detail before you leave, feel free to pull into our vacuum area and give your newly cleaned car some personal attention.

  • Do you take credit cards?

Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

  • Do you offer unlimited memberships?

Yes, we do! An unlimited membership plan can be purchased (one per vehicle) which allows you to utilize our wash as many times as you want a month (one wash per day). An RFID sticker will be placed in your vehicle which will allow you to move quickly through our customer queue and provide you with a wash in accordance with your membership plan.

  • How do I cancel my unlimited membership?

You may cancel your Unlimited membership at any time. To cancel your membership please call us at (951) 303-2339 or email us at [email protected] 10 days before your renewal date. Please include the following information: first and last name on the account, your license plate number, the last 4 digits of the credit card on file, and the reason for canceling.

  • Do you clean the inside of the car?

Eco Express Car Wash is an exterior-only express service car wash. We do provide self-service, free high-powered 120-hp vacuums at all our locations. We have compressed air and mat holders available for use. There are also high-quality auto accessories available for purchase.

  • What kind of cleaning products do you use?

Our cleaning products are specifically created to be effective and safe in our environment. They are fully biodegradable and safe for your vehicle and for the environment. To guarantee this, they are manufactured to the highest environmental standards for Eco Express Car Wash. They are made exactly to our specifications to ensure that they are the safest, most effective products available. Your car is rinsed at the end with reverse osmosis water to ensure a spot-free finish.

  • How do you save water?

By comparison, a recent study shows that the average person uses over 100 gallons of water when washing a car by hand. We recycle, reclaim, and reuse our water with our on-site reclamation system to ensure safe, high-quality, recycled water. Our computer-controlled system uses under 35 gallons of water for each wash.

  • Is your equipment safe?

Absolutely! Our equipment along with others like it is used in thousands of car washes, washing millions of cars a day throughout the United States without issues. We only ask that you follow all instructions provided by the Eco Express Team for the safety of yourself and other Eco Express Customers.

  • What won’t your equipment clean?

We make every effort to ensure customer satisfaction and a clean vehicle at the end of your wash. Exceptionally dirty vehicles (vehicles with baked-on dirt, grime, and mud), or vehicles with severe surface contaminants such as tree sap may not come out completely clean. You may need more than one run (which we’ll be more than happy to accommodate) through the tunnel, but we’ll do our best to ensure your satisfaction.

  • What happens if my car isn’t cleaned to my satisfaction?

Don’t worry! We strive to make our customers happy. If for whatever reason you’re dissatisfied with your wash, we’ll be more than happy to rewash your vehicle or refund you the cost of your wash. Simply present your receipt to any of our staff, and we’ll do everything we can to make your experience better.

  • Do you maintain your equipment?

Yes! The material in all moving components is continuously flushed out and cleaned with each wash to ensure that only clean equipment touches your car. We also lubricate and check our equipment regularly and clean all our equipment nightly, so you feel like each wash was from our opening day!

  • Will my vehicle fit?

Almost certainly, yes! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to come by any of our locations and we’ll be happy to check your vehicle for problem areas.

Here is a list of vehicles that may not be able to enter our tunnel:

    • Vehicles that sit 4.5″ or lower to the ground
    • Vehicles with tires wider than 13″
    • Vehicles taller than 84″
    • Extended height full-size vans (over 84 inches)
    • Trucks with dual-rear tires
    • Vehicles with permanently affixed tri-pod style mirrors
    • Full-size Hummers
    • Open-bed pickup trucks with a fuel tank that has a fill nozzle and hose attached
    • Open bed pickup trucks with debris, tools, straps, rope, or any other loose materials
    • Some 1965-69 General Motor vehicles with large fins and wrap-around bumpers
    • Trucks/vans with ladders
    • Vehicles with large ladder racks
    • Vehicles with “rocket boxes” on top

Here is a list of things that sometimes cause problems and must be washed with some caution:

    • Loose emblems, molding, and other items on the vehicle
    • Cracked windshields
    • Very low-profile tires
    • Pre-existing damage, known or unknown (e.g. body damage, paint damage, etc.)
    • Bug shields or guards of any kind
    • Running boards and steps
    • Poor paint quality/paint and body damage on a vehicle that may worsen
    • License plates/frames that are not securely attached
    • Any non-factory/aftermarket items
    • Large format or off-road tires
    • Manufacturer defects
    • Vehicles 7 years or older or over 100,000 miles
  • What types of vehicles can you wash?

We accept most cars, vans, and trucks up to 84 inches in height and with tires not wider than 13 inches. Unfortunately, we cannot wash trucks with dual wheels. We guarantee the safety of all factory-installed equipment in proper working order.

  • Can you wash my pickup truck?

Of course! All we ask is that the pickup bed be empty of all loose items, debris, and liquids before going through the wash. This is for the safety of your vehicle and those of other customers. Also, some side mirrors are incompatible with our process, and certain types of modifications that employ oversized or off-road tires or radically raised suspensions may not be compatible.

  • Is the wash safe for convertibles?

Yes. Please make sure that the roof is properly latched.

  • Is the wash safe for newly painted cars?

Yes. We use cloth wash materials and mild cleaners. However, the paint should be allowed to cure before washing. Consult with your body shop for curing times (usually at least 30 days for repainted cars and body parts). (Paint on new cars is fully cured before delivery.)

  • Will a cracked windshield be safe in the wash?

Yes. However, once the integrity of windshield glass is compromised by rock chips (even very small ones), it becomes more susceptible to changes in temperature. So, while you may wash your vehicle with windshield damage, cracks or chips may expand. It’s always best to repair or replace a damaged windshield immediately.

  • Will my bug shield be safe?

Unfortunately, we can’t be responsible for aftermarket accessories made of plastic. Most customers who have bug shields wash their vehicles with no incident. However, problems can arise if the shield has already been damaged by debris while driving, by stress cracks around the installation screws (which can be hard to detect), or simply damaged by UV rays and age.
